Japan has no limit in the cuteness it has to offer. The cuteness comes in all shapes and sizes, and this time it’s cat-shaped bread. You may have seen cat-shaped cookies, but how about cat-shaped bread? If you're around Tokyo, there's a specialty bread store that is newly opened and ready to serve you the most kawaii bread you'll ever see.

Some Japanese people may have a traditional breakfast of rice and miso soup. However, sometimes they also like to have bread for breakfast, as bread can be quick and easy breakfast choice.

Toast is especially very popular in Japan, and you can find many great bakeries everywhere. One new bakery that has been stealing the spotlight lately is Neko Neko Shokupan, which literally translates to “Cat Cat Sandwich Bread”.

After successfully opening 5 other stores around Japan, they finally opened new stores in Tokyo.You can find Neko Neko Shokupan at their AEON MALL Kitatoda store, AEON MALL Higashiura store, Oasis Park store, AEON MALL Itami store, and their THE OUTLETS HIROSHIMA store.

Operated by Japan’s popular Heart Bread Antique bakery brand, Neko Neko Shokupan was the first bread specialty store opened in Ario Kitasuna, Koto-ku, Tokyo from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. They even held an Instagram campaign from November 11th to December 15th 2019 to celebrate the occasion. You can also participate by posting a photo with three hashtags #ねこねこ食パン#MILK100% and#北砂 (Neko Neko Shokupan, Milk 100%, and Kitasuna). If your post has at least 30 likes, you will get a ¥30 discount for a loaf of cat bread at the new store.

They offer four flavours of cat-shaped bread, Plain, Chocolate, Azuki red bean, and Cheese.  Other flavours are also available for a limited time only. You can buy the plain flavour of cat-shaped bread for ¥450 (plus tax) and or one of the flavoured varieties for ¥680 (plus tax).

Neko Neko Shokupan uses 100% fresh milk and Japanese wheat flour in their bread, making the bread very rich and  milky in flavour with a soft and moist texture. They don’'t use any water and only use fresh milk as an ingredient. Their bread also contains honey, cream, and butter which makes the bread rich and sweet. It's a purr-fect breakfast.

You can decorate this kawaii bread in plenty of ways. This can be a  fun and creative way for both kids and adults to enjoy the bread by making it more cute and appetizing. The bakery suggests that those who aren't used to decorating or drawing to simply use a chocolate decoration pen and draw a cat face. It is going to be so cute if put it on social media, and you can even get that discount that we mentioned above!
