What is the new Harry Potter Tokyo attraction?

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – “The Making of Harry Potter” is a compelling new attraction that opened in June 2023. Harry Potter Tokyo is situated in Tokyo’s Nerima Ward, where the old Toshimaen amusement park used to be. 

This is the world’s biggest indoor Harry Potter attraction and the first in Asia. Here, fans can explore the magic behind the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies and step into the world where these famous things were made.

How to get there?

Getting to the attraction is super easy! The closest train station is Toshimaen Station, a five-minute walk from the station to the amazing wizarding world. You can also get there by two major train stations in Tokyo: Ikebukuro and Shinjuku.

If you’re traveling from Ikebukuro Station, hop on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line bound for Toshimaen and get off at Toshimaen Station. The trip takes about 17 minutes. From Shinjuku Station, take the Oedo Subway Line straight to Toshimaen Station, which takes around 20 minutes

For those who prefer to drive, you can reach the Studio Tour by exiting the Tokyo Gaikan Expressway at “Oizumi I.C.” and following Mejiro Street. However, taking the train might be more convenient and exciting, especially since the stations are themed! Toshimaen Station has been transformed to look like Hogsmeade Station and Ikebukuro Station is decorated to resemble King’s Cross Station.

Getting tickets

To get tickets for Hary Potter Tokyo, you have to buy them in advance online since you can’t get them directly at the attraction. The organizers limit the number of visitors daily to ensure everyone has a great time without overcrowding, so booking your tickets online early is important. Plus, tickets are non-changeable and non-refundable. 

The tickets come with different options depending on your age. The prices vary:

• Adult tickets (ages 18 and over): 6,500 yen
• Junior tickets (ages 12-17): 5,400 yen
• Child tickets (ages 4-11): 3,900 yen.
• Kids under 4: FREE
